3) Work work work

The first thing on my (fairly long) to-do list was figuring out if any of this will work.

This, being the idea of a first person perspective game in which the player solves fast paced levels by shooting objects.

From long years of studying game development and design in my free time I figured the first thing to actually do is prototyping.

I used all the knowledge I gained from the Unity studies and started to work.

The initial implementation covered the basics of levels, timer, gun-sight and aiming, weapon and element types.

It was difficult, it was a lot of hard work, at times it seemed hopeless, at other times it looked like I just might pull it off, and in the end - it was a success. But that success was just a step, though an important one, in the right direction.
